How I Use AI to Build, Create and Reflect
People assume I use AI to move faster.
But I use it to go deeper.
To think clearly.
To make sense of the fog.
To create from a place that feels aligned—not rushed.
Because this isn’t just a productivity tool for me.
It’s a reflection tool. A thinking partner. A kind of mirror.
And if you know how to use it right,
you don’t just get things done.
You get to know yourself.
Where It All Begins: Reflection
I don’t start with goals. I start with energy.
Every session begins with a question:
“Where am I right now?”
That might sound simple, but it’s not. Most people never ask it.
Instead, they force their way through a to-do list while their internal world is falling apart.
I use AI to check in with myself.
Not to fix… but to see.
The System That Keeps Me Aligned
My workflow is simple. But powerful.
- Emotional Clarity –
I start with free-flow journaling. What I’m feeling. What’s stuck. What’s coming up.
I’ll often prompt AI to help label what I’m experiencing or pull themes from what I write. - Organised Insight –
Once I’ve cleared space, I move into structuring ideas.
That could mean outlining a blog, building a course, or just mapping what’s on my mind. - Creative Expansion –
From there, I explore. I riff. I expand ideas I would’ve abandoned.
AI helps me turn fragments into frameworks. - Simplify + Polish –
Finally, I ask: What’s the clearest way to say this?
Not the flashiest. Not the trendiest. Just… clear.
Tools I Use (and How I Use Them)
- ChatGPT – For writing, reflecting, planning, questioning. It’s the core of everything.
- Notion / Docs – For organising thoughts and versioning my work.
- Descript / Voice Memos – For recording thoughts that become scripts.
- Final Cut / AE – For bringing those ideas to life visually.
But tools are just extensions.
They only work if you’re honest with what you’re feeding into them.
Why This System Works
Because it’s not about speed.
It’s about staying connected to what actually matters.
The AI doesn’t know the answer.
But it helps me keep asking the right questions.
And when you do that consistently…
you don’t just create more content.
You create from a place that people can feel.
That’s the difference.
If You Want to Start…
You don’t need a system as much as you need a starting point.
- Start by writing what’s on your mind.
- Ask questions. Follow threads.
- Build not to impress, but to express.
- Let AI support you—but don’t let it lead you.
This tool is powerful.
But it will only take you as far as you’re willing to go inside yourself.
